Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government made a major decision to open the curtain of Shandong Heavy Industry's strategic reorganization of China National Heavy Duty Truck. At the first leadership conference of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group held on the same day, the new leadership team put forward the strategic vision of “building a world-class full-series commercial vehicle group, and becoming China's No. 1 in 3-5 years”. Since then, five years, in the face of the global commercial vehicle industry's high concern, in the face of the province's people's deep hopes, in the face of China National Heavy Duty Truck people's fervent expectations, the new team led China National Heavy Duty Truck staff to attack the main business without distraction, boldly engage in reforms, the enterprise to change the high-speed gears, set off on the road of high-quality, high-speed development.



 

 Over the past five years, China National Heavy Duty Truck Corporation (CNHTC) has completed the orderly withdrawal of 98 non-main businesses such as real estate, property, hospitals, kindergartens, low-end parts and non-main business shareholding enterprises, and realized nearly 10.9 billion yuan in assets, with the asset-liability ratio reduced from 70.3 percent in 2018 to 60.8 percent now. The company divested operating businesses with little relevance to the commercial vehicle industry and streamlined the main business, laying the foundation for realizing the high-quality and high-speed development of the main business of commercial vehicles; it strongly reduced costs to stop the bleeding and resolutely cut off the chain of interests, with a cumulative contribution of 27 billion yuan in purchasing cost reductions; and it reduced office expenses and reception expenses from 150 million yuan in 2018 to 34.06 million yuan in 2022, a drop of office expenses and reception expenses were reduced from 150 million yuan in 2018 to 34.06 million yuan in 2022, a 77% reduction, with a cumulative saving of 340 million yuan.




 

 By deepening the reform of the cadre and personnel system and rapidly introducing the “three-ability” mechanism of “cadres can go up and down, employees can come in and go out, and incomes can be high and low”, SINOTRUK has completed the fundamental transformation to a highly market-oriented modern enterprise. Over the past five years, the total number of leading cadres in SINOTRUK has dropped from 1,597 to 1,142, a drop of 28.5%; the average age has dropped from 46.1 to 40.7, with the proportion of cadres after 80 years old rising from 27.3% to 73.3%; and the proportion of cadres with a bachelor's degree or above has risen from 82.8% to 96.7%. 6,800 graduates from colleges and universities are to be continuously introduced from 2019 to 2023, contributing to the company's continuous and rapid development. From 2019 to 2023, 6,800 college graduates will be continuously introduced to lay a talent foundation for the company's sustained and rapid development; the market-oriented assessment system oriented to target performance will be comprehensively promoted, and the “big pot rice” will be completely broken.
